Dice K is pitching against the Mariners right now. Dice K is, of course, Daisuke Matsuzaka - the Japanese pitcher, whom the Boston Redsox brought to the states by spending like $100 million.

To be honest, I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about all this hype about Dice K. Should I be excited that a fellow Asian is such a tremendous athlete? Or, should I be upset that he's a Japanese and is getting all these attention? Or, is it really that no Korean MLB player is playing well this season when there are enough Japanese players in the league to make a team of their own? Or, should I simply be happy to witness a great pitcher in his prime contributing to the game of baseball?

Basically, do I love baseball more than I hate the Japanese? Probably not.

On a different note, the word tremendous is used ONLY in sports context. 'His effort tonight was tremendous', 'He's a tremendous athlete', etc etc. You NEVER say, 'this steak is tremendous'. Why is this?

... I think I'm gonna start using this word in my daily life

My commute home today will be tremendous.
