I just found out that my company (my work, not my own company) just started blocking blogspot sites at work - it means whenever i try to access any blogspot sites it redirects me to a webpage that says something like it's against the company policy and if i continue to violate the policy, i could be executed or something like that. They've been blocking xanga, myspace, etc. sites, but not blogspot sites, until today.
Weird thing is, I can still post new updates. They're blocking blogspot.com, but not blogger.com. Dumb...
This is what the new Honda Accord Coupe will look like (2008 model). I'm almost done convincing myself that I absolutely need a new car and that this is THE one...
College Football has finally ended. What a season it was. Some final thoughts...
Was Big-10 overrated this season? I'm gonna say yes! I mean, who have the big 3 beaten - by 'big 3' I mean Ohio St, Michigan, and Wisconsin - besides each other? Michigan's biggest out-of-conference win was against Notre Dame(#2 at the time). That was their defining moment. And we all know how "good" Notre Dame was throughout the season - more on Notre Dame later. Also, don't forget, they got raped by USC. Wisconsin lost to Michigan, but did win against Arkansas in their season finale, which was impressive. Ohio St. beat Texas (#2 at the time), beat Michigan (again, #2 at the time), but got spanked by Florida. So, here's how it breaks down: For the big three, their big wins were against Notre Dame and Arkansas, which translates to this: Their ONLY big out-of-conference win was against Arkansas. This is why the BCS did the right thing by putting Florida in the title game - you just can't determine who the champion is by keeping it in the conference. That only determines who the conference champion is, not the national champion, no matter how good they both looked. Before last night's Championship game, I thought Michigan was overrated. After the game, I changed my mind. The whole conference of Big-10 was overrated this season.
Cal Football I'll be quick on this because... well you know. The loss against Tennessee haunted us all season long - and it only got worse by the loss to USC. Basically, we blew our chances to make this season 'great'. Let's not forget the loss to Arizona, although, I still believe that we should've won that game, and it was lost by a bad call. However, the season did end well with a blowout win against a very good Big-12 team, Texas A&M. That'll probably help us in the pre-season poll. With Marshawn Lynch heading to the pro, it might seem like we'll be slipping a bit, but let me tell you right now that Cal is going to have a monster season next year. All of our receivers are coming back, including DaOne, and Nate Longshore. When Longshore plays well, we don't lose. With one year under his belt now, I feel a monster season from him. Oh, and last thing, we play Tennessee and USC at home next year.
Notre Dame & Brady Quinn Notre Dame was overrated all season long. Well, at least on polls, they were. They didn't win one single big game. Lost to Michigan, USC, LSU, and almost lost to Michigan St. and UCLA. However, to all those who think Brady Quinn is overrated, let me tell you that he is actually pretty damn good. And I realized this even more last night, as I watched the Heisman winner Troy Smith struggle mightily with his O-line breaking down and no receivers finding open space. Brady Quinn did this all year long. Weak o-line, mediocre receivers, and yet throwing for some monster numbers. Now, I'm not saying he was the real heisman winner or anything, but I think he deserves a lot of praise for his accomplishment in that crappy, overrated team.
Boise State They delivered the best game of the season. Some say it was the best game of the decade, century, etc. And I agree to some extent. It was the best game I've seen LIVE. Well, the best after the 4th quarter anyway. However, even being the only undefeated team in the country doesn't make them the best team in the nation. They beat a very good, but overrated Oklahoma team. That doesn't tell me anything. Here's hoping that they include some real competitions in their out-of-conference schedule next year. Then, we'll know for sure.
Next Season Prediction USC will be pre-season favorite to win it all. Most of their defense is coming back, and John David Booty is getting better. However, their season will peak right before their loss at CAL.
Ok, that's not much of a prediction on the season as a whole, but that's pretty much the only thing that I'm interested in next season.
